Adriana Ayales

RAINFOREST HERBALIST AND CO-FOUNDER Of BOTANICA

Hi! I am Adriana, rainforest herbalist, medicine maker, educator, and lady-behind-the-curtain at large over at Anima Mundi. I was born and raised in Costa Rica and have extensively studied several healing traditions, alongside master herbalists and shamans for 13+ years. I started Anima Mundi in Brooklyn NY as a means to bridging ancient remedies to the modern world. My heart is to continuously create a farm to pharmacy experience that not only creates a sustainable system of healing, but contains within its core the pursuit to wholeness. I’m devoted to sourcing from honest farmers, wildcrafters and from indigenous peoples when possible, to alchemize and create truly high vibrational medicines for the mind, body and soul. I believe that by preserving ancient forms of indigenous botany, we keep alive a very sacred aspect to our source.

Hi, I’m Monica, I was born in Colombia and I lived many times in the states. I have lived in Costa Rica for more than 20 years and although I left to study a master’s degree in environmental sciences, my thesis and the rest of each scholastic year, and my heart, are in this beautiful country. One of my missions is to create and share with the world the products that I love and that transform my life. My vision is to be of service to a community that desires to elevate its vitality and connect more deeply with nature. Every day I dedicate myself to integrating practices to manifest the reality I desire. I seek to create spaces where we can all feel in harmony, free of anxiety and in tune with our environment
